Dr.
Andrea Barthwell, Deputy Director of Demand Reduction for the
Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), Executive Office
of the President, delivers a speech at the NAPAFASA 2004 National
Conference. Dr. Barthwell came to the NAPAFASA Conference to share
ONDCP’s future direction and to hear how ONDCP can make
their work more salient to the AAPI community.

Dr.
Westley Clark, Director of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment,
speaks about the necessity to provide services to AAPI’s
in the language that they speak. He also spoke about the misconception
that API’s are a model community. Finally, Dr. Clark addressed
the lack of research devoted to AAPI’s and substance issues.
