Asian and Pacific Islander Technical Assistance Project
Purpose
The purpose of the Asian and Pacific Islander Technical Assistance Project is to increase opportunities for Asian and Pacific Islanders (API) to alleviate alcohol and other drug related problems, in their families and communities by:
- Reducing systemic, programmatic and fiscal barriers to the prevention and treatment of these problems, and
- Enhancing cultural and linguistic competence in the alcohol, tobacco and other drug programs and activities.
Technical Assistance Project Services
All technical assistance and training services are provided by project staff and consultants free of charge.
Services are tailored to meet the needs of each client. Services are provided in person, over phone and via fax and
email. Alcohol and other drug (AOD) services providers, faith and community-based organizations, non-profit
organizations, and local, county and state agencies and department are eligible to apply and receive services.
